I'm thankful for my gigantic family, people whose blood bond cannot be dissolved by petty differences or politics. I'm thankful for my core group of friends whose friendship and loyalty endears them to me almost as if we were related by blood. I'm thankful for their support during those tough months last spring. Thank you all for your love and support these last few completely insane years.

I'm thankful for the mentorship of a visionary in this battle, someone whose fierce loyalty to those around him and devotion to the cause will never be matched or forgotten.

I'm thankful for the many friends I've made through my travels these past four years and am thankful for the privilege of protesting, phone banking, petitioning, and marching beside them all across the country. I'm thankful to have witnessed such passion and dedication first hand, whether it be from patriots freezing in a Wisconsin field rallying and registering voters, patriots marching through the streets in Ohio against domestic terrorism in their Cleveland city, shouting against tyranny in the Arizona desert, or the quiet protest of burgeoning conservatives in Los Angeles who are speaking out more and more.

I'm thankful for my employers and for the radio and television opportunities. I'm especially thankful for Emmis's unwavering support. I'm thankful that I'm able to provide for my family in a time when the economy is hard on small businesses, like the one my husband owns. I'm thankful for all the small business owners who persevere towards the American dream.

I'm thankful to my listeners, readers, those who have helped make my radio show #1 every book in all of its markets. Thank you for your support and words of encouragement, thanks to those who took time out of their day to put a thoughtful word into writing and send. I hope my words have encouraged you at some point as well. I'm thankful for the Dana Show crew who help make each show a success every day.

I'm thankful for our men and women in the armed forces, those in the uniform and those keeping the home fires. To quote Churchill: "We sleep safely at night because rough men stand ready to visit violence on those who would harm us." Thank you for your sacrifice.

I'm thankful for liberty. I'm thankful that this country, by our own will, is still the last beacon of such liberty. I'm thankful that we have the right and ability to keep it that way.

God bless you this Thanksgiving." />

Thanksgiving

Despite our troubles, we have much for which to be thankful. I am thankful for a loving God, the gift of His son, my Savior, and His many blessings upon me and my family. I am thankful for my husband and sons and the joy and they bring. I'm thankful that my little family understood when home-cooked meals became scarce because mama was spending the evening with her head buried in research or on a plane. I'm thankful for my husband's unyielding support. He gives me energy when I've none left. He's carried me and others across the finish line several times and is content to be that rock and protector and watch the show unfold from the side of the stage. I'm thankful that my oldest was able to travel with me and get a front row glimpse of what it is that mama does and how it's not all fun and games, it's a lot of hard work. I'm thankful for that one trip to DC with him where, after I spoke to a crowd of college kids that morning, we had the fall afternoon to ourselves and spend the day walking the national mall and visiting all of the museums. "I like George Washington's character," he had said. I'm thankful that my youngest learned multiplication a year early in between memorizing the 4th Amendment due to air travel. I'm thankful for my gigantic family, people whose blood bond cannot be dissolved by petty differences or politics. I'm thankful for my core group of friends whose friendship and loyalty endears them to me almost as if we were related by blood.
