St. Louis County Police Chief: Arm The Schools

Posted on December 19 2012 in Dana Radio, Missouri, Radio, Second Amendment

Today I spoke with St. Louis County Police Chief Tim Fitch who supports arming schools — be it a volunteer officer, teacher, principal, someone.

“The only way I’m aware of to face lethal force is with lethal force,” said Fitch during our interview. Fitch noted the average response time (written of previously) in St. Louis County. “What do we do in that period?” he asked.

Listen to the whole interview below. Fitch has ideas on how schools can move forward in protecting our students and suggests that if it ever comes down to it, he emphasizes as a last resort, fight fire with fire.
